Paul and I live in a small town in Texas - there are only about 5,000 people living here. This blog is usually a collection of random thoughts and pictures that I find interesting, or just feel like sharing. Hope you enjoy your visit!

More Pictures...
Okay, instead of making a huge blog entry of pictures, I figured out how to put pictures online with another photo site. So you can use the link (on the right of this page) to see other pictures. Hopefully that will help manage all of my pictures. I only have a few pictures up right now - of the new deck in the back so far. But I'll add more as I go.

Pictures!!
Well, for my second posting, I figured I should get some pictures online. These will show more of what I've been up to over the past 2 years. That's a lot of time to recapture, but I'll do my best to be concise...maybe.
This (below) is when we went to Enchanted Rock in the Hill Country of west Texas. I don't remember exactly where it is, but it's west of Austin, so that's west for me. :) We had fun, despite the heights (for me anyway). That's something new I've discovered over the last 6 years - I don't like heights unless there is a railing. So climbing up the sides of big hills didn't exactly appeal to me, but the view from the top was amazing.
I guess I should stop with that for the first go-round. I'll put more up on another day. Check back later!
First, this is my favorite tree. It's in North Carolina. I discovered it as a senior in high school, but I got to see it again this past Christmas, so I was relieved to see that it's still there despite past hurricanes, etc.

Tired of MySpace and A Short Disclaimer...
Well, my sister (Daria) convinced me to sign up with MySpace so that I could stay in touch with our cousins better, etc. (now that email is considered a technology of the dark ages). And I like that part of it - I like seeing their pictures and reading their blogs. But I really don't like the ads that pop up (mostly of half-dressed girls), and the ego of the guy who created M.S. is pretty annoying. So I'm considering spending more time on "space" that has more class than that. I'll probably check in on the aforementioned space to see how my family is doing. But I'm going to try blogging here...
Which leads me to my disclaimer...I have never created a blog before. Before, I couldn't imagine a single thing that other people would be interested in reading or looking at about my life. But after looking at some friends' blogs, I feel less afraid of "messing up". They have encouraged me. But I don't claim to have any talent at this sort of thing. So if you happen to be looking at my blog, consider showing grace and mercy and just bear with me as this thing evolves. Thanks!!
